Bulletin for April 16th, 2017

Welcome to Community Church on this Easter Sunday! We celebrate that the tomb is empty and Jesus Christ is alive!

This morning we welcome Dr. Randy Blacketer to our church to lead our Easter Day services and give thanks for his willingness to help us out on such short notice. Pastor Dave and Sandi are in Iowa in response to Sandi’s step dad passing away this past Wednesday. Let’s remember them in our prayers during this time.

At our morning services, those who would like to sing are invited to join a walk-up choir to sing: Christ the Lord is Risen Today. May God be honored by our worship today and may every one of us receive the blessing of His living presence in our lives! (Please note, there will be no evening service at Community Church tonight.)

Birthday Card: Pastor Dave’s parents will be celebrating their 90th birthdays this coming week and in appreciation of their encouraging support of Community Church, a special card is available in the lobby for everyone to sign and express birthday greetings. Please take a moment to sign that card this morning!

Please pray for the persecuted: In Pakistan, Distribution Teams travel in dangerous areas to provide bibles to eager Christians. One believer who received a Bible stated, “It is water to a thirsty soul.” Recently a Distribution Team was returning home after distributing 700 Bibles to believers in the city of Nankana Sahib. Bandits stopped their van, and with guns pointed at the passengers robbed them of their phones and money. Fortunately they arrived safely home with few injuries. Let’s pray for those who are committed to supplying Bibles in dangerous areas and for those, often new Christians, who receive them.
