Bulletin For January 15th, 2017

Welcome to Community Church! This morning we dedicate the picture in our entrance: Jesus Standing at the Door Knocking, which is taken from Revelation 3. Copies of the picture are in your bulletin to remind you of the significance of this passage for us as individuals and as a church.
This morning we also celebrate the sacrament of communion. Everyone who professes Jesus Christ as the one who died on the cross for the forgiveness of their sins and acknowledges Him as the Lord of their life is invited to celebrate the sacrament of communion. Parents and grandparents are reminded to evaluate whether their children or grandchildren truly understand the meaning of communion before having them participate. May God bless our worship today!

This Evening, Pastor Ezra will be leading us in our worship service with a study from Revelation 2 and 3. Join us this evening for this relevant message of the Seven Churches of Asia Minor.

From The Deacons: A special thank you from the deacons for your generous and faithful giving these last several weeks. Our God is faithful!

MINISTRY NOTES & REQUESTED ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Pastoral Care Visits: If you have God-given gifts of compassion and if you would be willing to make visits to the elderly, to shut-ins and those in the hospital, please contact Bonnie T.. Goals would include making two visits per month through the end of March. Ideally these visits would be made with one other as a team.

Mark Your Calendar for a Valentine Breakfast: The Fellowship Team is pleased to invite everyone to a Valentine’s Breakfast on Saturday, February 11. Breakfast will be served between 9 & 11 AM. The menu includes French toast, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and ham with your choice of orange juice or coffee. There is no cost; however a free will offering will be accepted to help cover the expense of the meal.

BoxTop$ For North Godwin Ministry: Clip & save BoxTop$ for Education labels; bring them to church and leave them in the box on the table in the lobby.

Please Pray For The Persecuted: Imagine for a moment that our government would send soldiers to enter Community CRC on a Sunday morning. We would be arrested and put in jail and be accused of blasphemy and could face the reality of possible execution. That is exactly what happened in a church in Pakistan. Yet the Christians in Pakistan do not stop, they go to great lengths to get God’s Word into the hands and hearts of young people so that they can grow in the faith. Christian workers realize that young believers are the future of the church in Pakistan. Be thankful for our freedom to worship and pray for Christians in Pakistan.

In The Event Of A Cancellation…it will be announced on Wood TV 8 (webpage: woodtv.com/closings).
