Welcome to Community Church! This morning we welcome Pastor Robert who will share some information regarding the new Spanish ministry that will be using our facility. Please note that we will have no evening service so that our members may spend time with their families on this Labor Day Weekend.

Worship Schedule Change Starts Next Sunday! Beginning September 9th, we will return to our regular worship schedule of two-morning services, at 9:00AM and 11:30AM; our Education Hour (Sunday School and Adult Small Groups) meeting at 10:15AM; and our 6:00PM Worship Service.

Community Christian Internationale Church: Spanish Service Begins Sunday, September 9th, in the Godwin Room at 11:30AM. If you know of a friend, coworker or family member who may be blessed by this service please pass along this info.

City Fest Of West Michigan, September 8tj & 9th, at Ah-Nab-Awen Park, downtown GR, is a church event designed to invite unchurched friends and family to enjoy a fun FREE festival beginning at 4PM, with special music and speakers on the main stage beginning at 6PM. Seating is not available, but you may bring folding chairs or blankets to the park. Food will be available for purchase. More information about the event and parking is available at www.cityfestwestmichigan.org. Prayerfully consider who God is urging you to invite to this weekend of fun, music, inspiration and God’s Word. Calendar of Events:

Please note that we will have no evening service next Sunday so those that would like to attend the City Fest activities may do so.

Church Family
–               Congratulations to Brad and Dand P. on the healthy birth of their son, Brantley John on August 25. We pray our Lord continues to bless your family in wonderful and unexpected ways.
–               Peggy B. would like to thank the church family for their expression of love and encouragement following her husband’s recent passing. Your thoughtfulness in the way of cards, calls, visits, prayers, and miscellaneous assistance was much appreciated.

Starting Next Sunday: Education Hour Has Opportunities For Adults! Education Hour is from 10:15AM to 11:15 AM on Sundays. More info about our Education Hour classes listed on your insert.
–               New Members Class: Are you interested in becoming a member at Community Church? Led by Pastor Dave, the New Members’ Class offers an opportunity to learn more what it means to be a Christian and part of the family at Community Church. If you are interested in attending this class, see Pastor Dave.
–               Spiritual Authenticity, by John Ortberg, is the focus of the Adult Bible Study led by Bonnie T. during our Education Hour. The lessons are based on seven Old Testament characters.
Class begins next week; be sure to bring your Bible!!

Youth Ministries Begin Soon!
–               Cadets Boys’ Club (for boys grades 4 – 8), Mon., Sept. 10th, 7PM
–               GEMS Girls’ Club (for girls grades 1 – 8), Tues., Sept. 11th, 6:30PM
–               THUGS High School Youth Group (for boys and girls grades 9-12), Wed., Sept. 12th, 7PM

Community Resource Coordinator Hours Changing: Beginning next week, Sept. 10, Elizabeth, Community Resource Coordinator, will be in the church office on Mondays, no longer holding Tuesday evening hours. If you have a need that arises that you would like to speak to Elizabeth about, please request an appointment by emailing her at Elizabeth@communitycrc.org. She plans to see appointments on Mondays from 4PM to 6:30PM, followed by the small group she will co-lead from 6:30PM to 8PM.

North Godwin Volunteers: Prayerfully consider becoming or renewing your commitment to volunteer at North Godwin Elementary School. All new and renewing volunteers must sign a consent form for a background check and be approved before you can begin helping. This can take a couple weeks, so take time to speak with and receive a consent form from Rebecca Allard today.
