Bulletin for May 7th, 2017

Welcome to Community Church! Our series of messages are focusing on Building Blocks Of Our Faith which will help us reflect on how we grow in our relationship with God through our faith in Jesus. Our theme today is I know and Understand which will be expressed to us through Scripture readings and a drama. May God bless our worship today!

This Evening, being the first Sunday of the month, we will be focusing on a prayer service, praying for our needs and our church’s needs. Come and be a part of special time of worship!

CHURCH FAMILY
– Gloria D. has returned home from her hospital stay. Let’s continue to remember her in prayer for continued healing, strength and comfort.
As shared during our Sunday services, our Christian sympathy is extended to Judy M. and her family at the recent passing of her sister following a battle with cancer. Judy and her family would like to thank those who remembered them with cards and prayers. Your support was much appreciated.

MINISTRY NOTES
Sub Sale Fundraiser: A special thank you to everyone who has been participating in our Sub Sale fundraiser to benefit our parking lot expansion. Everyone is reminded to turn in their order sheets & sub money to Dennis H. this morning before, between, and after morning services.
Orders will be ready for pick-up & distribution on Thursday, May 18 at 5:30 PM.

Next Sunday, May 14 at 10:15 am during the Sunday School hour, all children from Pre-K thru 7th grade are invited to a special Mothers Day activity in the upstairs old sanctuary. This will be in place of class time.

Need a ride to church, the doctor, or pharmacy? If yes, perhaps church volunteers can help! If you need a ride please contact Pat Bl.

Facility Reservations: The church facility may be rented for a small fee (Godwin Room is $40 for members/regular attendees or $75 for non-members; Sanctuary is $60 for members/regular members or $125 for non-members). If you would like to reserve the church for your event this spring or summer please submit your request to the church office. Dates fill up quickly, so reserve early!

Please pray for the persecuted: In Somalia, al-shabab is ruthlessly determined to eradicate Christianity. They have distributed a list of suspected Christian converts from Islam. Anyone on the list who is discovered faces certain death. Aliyah, Mahad and Amara turned their backs on Islam and placed their faith in Christ. They were told by their families, “We will kill you.” These three believers have not allowed the threats to silence their witness. Pray your blessings and protection over them. Give thanks for your freedom to read the Bible.
