Bulletin for September 3rd, 2017

Welcome to Community Church! This morning Pastor Ezra will focus on supplication prayer based on Hannah’s prayer found in 1 Samuel. How can we tap into the power of Almighty God in our lives and our ministries? Let’s think about the lessons in Hannah’s prayer. May God bless our time of worship together this morning. Please note we will have no evening prayer at Community Church today.

Next Sunday, September 10th we will begin our Fall Worship Schedule with our 9 AM Worship Service followed by our Education Hour at 10:15 AM and our second morning service at 11:30 AM. Pastor Dave will be starting a new series of messages called Fear to Faith Lessons on Habbuk. It is a short book of the Bible consisting of three chapters, you are encouraged to read through that or at least read chapter 1 for next Sunday morning.

Fall Kick Off: Thus Saturday, September 9th! We will be kicking off the start of our fall ministries this Saturday, September 9 with help from MAGIC BOB & SUZIE who will begin their performance at 4:00 PM. A pizza supper will follow. Plan to join us for this evening of free fun, fellowship and food…be sure to reach out to others you know and those within the church neighborhood and extend an invitation for them to join us!

CHURCH FAMILY:
– Rick Ro. was in an auto accident this past week and remains in the critical care unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital. Let’s pray God will heal his body and grant him comfort and strength. Remember his family as well for comfort and strength.

– Our Christian sympathy is extended to Johanna and Joe R. and family at the passing of Johanna’s mother this past week. May our Lord bless them with His comfort as they mourn her passing and celebrate her life.

ATTN:  Ladies Attending The Eyes Wide Open Event: hosting the Women’s Fall Gathering: Eyes Wide Open event, Community will be providing refreshment volunteers…If you are attending the Eyes Wide Open event and are able, please consider volunteering to serve before and/or after the Eyes Wide Open women’s conference on Thursday, September 14. If you are able to help please sign up on the sheet in the lobby. If you have questions please speak with Dawn VanOost.

Tutors Needed for North Godwin Elementry School. You do not need to have a teaching degree to mentor a child…just an hour a week! Tutors read with students, help with math or maybe a special project. Volunteers are a blessing to teachers as they are not able to give one on one attention to every student. Students appreciate and welcome volunteers. Volunteers share the experience is rewarding and joyful. Become a tutor this fall…start by filling out the form located on the table in the lobby and return it to Rebecca Allard or Pastor Dave…and be prepared for God to use you in a special way!

Pray For The Persecuted: In a country where Bibles are restricted, Armita clutched her bag as she made her way to a table in a small cafe. As she drank her tea she offered a free digital copy of the New Testament to those nearby, and she prayed, “Lord, please use this to draw people to yourself.” And customers did click on the site with a secret password. When she finished her tea, she paid her bill, packed her bag and went home. She planned to do the same the next day in a park.
