Church family volunteers are always appreciated.
Saturday, October 12, 8 AM to Noon. This annual event is for the Community Church family. Volunteers are needed to help clean up and beautify Community Church and the Community House. There will be projects big & small, something for every skill level.
Sunday, October 13, 9 & 11:30 AM Services. On this special Sunday we will take time to give thanks for our Pastor of more than 38 years. We will have a basket in the lobby on this Sunday to collect notes and cards from the church family expressing appreciation for his leadership, counsel, teaching, friendship, and more.
Saturday, October 19. Our Mobile Food Truck helps provide perishable food items to more than a hundred families each month. Food items change each month, and we have no idea what we will receive until the truck arrives. Perishable food items are provided to families at no cost.
Sign in begins at 8 AM. Distribution begins at 10 AM.
This event is for children from our neighborhood, attend youth groups, part of the church family, and their friends and families. Volunteers decorate their "trunks" and kids dress up in their Halloween costumes (and many adults as well!) and walk throughout the church parking lot Trunk-or-Treating for treats!

SUNDAY SCHOOL

During the school year, classes meet between our Sunday morning worship services,
from 10:15 to 11:15 AM
For boys and girls
in grades Pre-K – grade 12
Rides are available upon request
Classes are made up of similar age/grade boys & girls for a time of Bible study, discussion, crafts, and more.
(Adult classes are held
during at this time also!)
STUDYING REVELATION (facilitated by Char Kubiak)
This video series, by Lew VanderMeer, will help everyone: read the book of Revelation with fresh appreciation and understanding; interpret the symbolism in Revelation from a Reformed historical perspective; describe what Revelation unveils to us about Jesus Christ, including his winning the battle against Satan and his working on our behalf today; experience the joy of knowing that Jesus will never forsake His church, and that God wins the ultimate victory; eagerly anticipate the second coming of our Lord and the wonderful new creation that He will bring with Him.
FOSTER CARE: LEARNING AND SUPPORTING THOSE IN NEED (led by Allie Van Dam)
Staying with our Growing Young theme, this class will share resources and opportunities regarding foster care.
NEW MEMBERS CLASS (led by Pastor Dave)
If you are interested in learning more about the basics of the Christian life and what it means to be a member at Community Church, this class will help answer those questions. If you have questions about attending this class, see Pastor Dave.
CADETS Boys' Club

Bible Study, Crafts, Games, Badges, Outings such as Fishing, Camping, Hiking, Service Projects, Snow Derby, Derby Car Races
The Calvinist Cadet Corps is an independent (non-denominational) youth ministry organization whose purpose is to provide the local church with ministry programs that will enable them to effectively share Christ’s love with boys from their church and community.
A typical meeting involves reciting our Landmarks (Cadet Motto, Verse and Code, along with the Pledge of Allegiance), Bible Study, crafts and games.

Equipping Girls with God’s Love
GEMS welcomes girls of all backgrounds in a safe and nurturing environment to learn and grow as they discover who God created them to be.
A typical meeting consists of singing, Bible lessons, crafts, snacks and games.
We invite girls to join us and experience God’s love, learn more about the Bible, make new friends, sing songs with creative movements, earn badges, create with crafts, play games, attend outings and more!
BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS, SHARING RESOURCES, AND DEVELOPING SKILLS.
We’re here to help our neighborhood grow stronger by equipping families to improve their situation through resources and training.
