Bulletin for August 19th, 2018

Welcome To Community Church! This morning we welcome the ministry of Teen Challenge to help us with our service through songs and testimony. Following this morning’s service, we will have a potluck meal together. Everyone is invited to stay for this time of food and fellowship. Please note there will be no evening service at Community Church tonight.

Day Of Prayer: Next Sunday we will focus on a Day of Prayer from 7AM to 7PM. We are asking individuals and groups to sign up to spend one hour praying for our church and our members’ needs. A sign-up sheet is on the table in the lobby. Prayer guides will be available to help you with prayer ideas for your hour.
……………Everyone is invited back for a prayer service at 6PM. We will finish our day of prayer with a pizza supper together at 7PM. Let’s demonstrate that prayer is a core value of our church by having a good involvement next week!

Morning Service Overflow: The Godwin Room, located on the left at the end of the south hallway, has been set up as an alternative/overflow room for Sunday morning worship.

Seniors Are Invited To A Potluck At The Lake On Sunday, August 25th. Information about the event was distributed in your church mailbox. If you have questions or would like to rsvp please speak with Pat B. or Judy M..

Culver’s Fundraising Night: Culver’s on 54th Street, near Home Depot, will donate 10% of their inside sales (not drive through) to Community Church on Monday, August 27th between 5PM to 9PM. Invite your friends, coworkers, neighbors, and family to eat out at Culver’s on 54th Street, west of Division Ave. Please note that drive through sales do not count-orders must be taken and filled inside Culver’s – so take out or dine in!

New Members Class: Are you interested in becoming a member of Community Church? Pastor Dave will be leading the New Members’ Class beginning Sunday, September 9th between the morning worship services. This is an opportunity to understand more what it means to be a Christian and part of the family at Community Church. If you are interested in attending this class, see Pastor Dave.

North Godwin Volunteers: Do you have a passion to share Christ through love, patience and time? Are you available an hour or two each week? Then prayerfully consider becoming or renewing your commitment to volunteer at North Godwin Elementary School. All new and renewing volunteers must sign a consent form for a background check and be approved before you can begin helping. This can take a couple weeks, so take time to speak with and receive a consent form from Rebecca Allard today.
