Congregational Meeting Today! Following this morning’s worship service, we will hold our annual Congregational Meeting. All church members and regular attendees are encouraged to stay and participate in our discussions; please note that only professing members may vote. Extra agendas may be found on the table in the lobby.
Godwin Elementary School Liaison Position: We are looking to hire a new Godwin Elementary School liaison, about a five hour a week position, which focuses on recruiting volunteers for tutoring at the elementary school, assisting in certain events, and helping with the Hand to Hand Ministry. If you are interested in applying for the position, see Pastor Dave for an application. Deadline for applying is today!
– Barbara V. returned home this past week and continues to recover at home. If you would like to arrange a visit with her, please call her. Let’s continue to lift Barbara in prayer for continued healing and strength.
– Debra K. was in the hospital this past week due to breathing concerns and has returned home. Let’s remember her in prayer for her that she may be blessed with continued healing and strength.
– Congratulations to Barbara V. and Bobby K. on their wedding celebration yesterday, June 1. May our Lord bless your union and family with wisdom, patience, strength and overflowing love.
Softball Update: Softball Schedules have been distributed in church mailboxes; additional copies may be found on the table in the lobby. Community Church Cavaliers will play their first game of the season this Thursday, June 6th as the “Away” team against Calvary Purple on diamond 5 at 7:30PM. Also, this Thursday, our Cavaliers will be the “Home” team against Good News Baptist Church at 8:30PM, also on diamond 5. Games take place at the Christian Athletic Complex, 3450 36th St SE, Kentwood MI 49512. Everyone is invited to come out and cheer on our team!
Plan For Your Future: Financial Planning Seminar!! Edward Jones Investment advisors and an attorney will
be at Community Church on Wednesday, June 19 from 11AM to 1PM for a two-session seminar to discuss estate planning and investment strategies; lunch will be provided. There is no cost, no age or health requirements, no sales pressure, everyone is welcome to attend! Annual Church Picnic will be Saturday, June 29th from 11:30AM to 2:00PM at Creekside Park (on 68th Street between Eastern and Kalamazoo). Potluck and games!! Please bring a dish to pass; hotdogs, juice and place settings will be provided. We will be organizing a kickball game to directly follow the picnic, a signup sheet is on the table in the lobby for those who want to play.
VBS 2019: Deep Sea Discovery will be July 8 – 11 from 6:30 to 8 PM. We are asking for donations to help keep expenses down. If you are able to donate any of the following it would be much appreciated. If you have any questions, contact Becky L.

Tigers Game: An outing to Comerica Park is being planned for Friday, August 9; game time is 7:10 PM. A sign-up sheet is located on the table in the lobby. Please make note on the sheet if you need a ride or can provide a ride. Plan to join us for a fun-filled day at the park!
Requested Announcement: On Sunday, June 30th at 4:00PM, Kelloggsville Church (610 – 52nd Street, Kentwood) will be hosting a pop/folk music concert with Out of the Dust, the Nashville-based recording artists Chris and Stephanie Teague. There is no cost and no tickets are required. The concert will last a little over an hour and is recommended for ages 11 and up. Activities and care for children ages 10 and under will also be provided. All are welcome to this uplifting concert which will share the Gospel message of redemption through song and story-telling.”
