Welcome To Community Church! Today, we continue our series of messages for Lent called EXPANSIVE which is a series to help us grow in our faith. Today we look UPWARD at how we worship Him. May God bless the time of worship we have today.

Tonight at 5:00PM: The small group study, EXPANSIVE-Stretching Beyond Superficial Christianity, continues to meet. Everyone is welcome. Join us as we take a deeper look at our UPWARD attitude towards God.

Congregational Meeting Next Sunday Morning, between our morning services from 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM. At this meeting we will discuss the Church Loan Reduction Project. More information can be found in your church mailbox. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Our Christian Sympathy is extended to Pastor Robert and Melys and their family at the passing of his brother who lived in Venezuela. May our Lord bless them with His peace and comfort during this time. Let’s also remember Comunidad Cristiana Internacional, the Spanish ministry that meets in our church, as their church family support their pastor and his family.

Soup & Game Night will be held on Friday, March 22 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. Plan to enjoy a soup supper (provided) followed by a time of fellowship and games. Some games will be provided but you may bring your own. A free will offering will be accepted to help cover the cost of the meal. Donations of pies are needed; sign up on the sheet in the lobby if you can help in this way. Speak with Cara Bruining, Marva Moriarty or Robin Claussen if you have questions.

Ladies & Gems’ Tea Party is this Tuesday, March 19, at 6:45 PM. All ladies of the church family are welcome to participate in this annual tea party hosted by the GEMS Girls Club. Come and enjoy fun and fellowship with just the girls!

Bass Fishing Seminar: Arnie Snoeyink will be leading a 5-week Bass Fishing Seminar beginning March 28, from 7 to 9 PM; the remaining sessions will be held April 4, 11, 18 & 25. Be sure to reserve the dates so you can attend all five sessions. Anyone interested in becoming a better fisherman is welcome to attend, so take time to invite your non-church friends and family members to join us!

Attention Seniors: Community’s Seasoned Citizens are invited to lunch (provided at no cost), a slide show from Kay Verbrugge’s recent mission trip to Haiti, and a brief hymn sing on Wednesday, March 27, at 11:30 AM. To get an idea of how much food will be needed, those planning to attend are asked to sign up on sheet provided in the lobby.

Softball Signups: Tentative plans are for a co-ed softball team; we need a commitment from at least 5 men and 5 women to qualify. A possible alternative would be that we form a kickball team. Sign-up on the sheet in the lobby if you are interested in playing either sport. Please indicate your first and second sport preference on the sheet. More information will be provided once participation has been determined.

Go and Tell Evangelism Seminar is an easy way to equip you to share the gospel, based on the Heidelberg Catechism. This 3-hour seminar will provide you with he tools to “be active in sharing your faith” (Philemon 6) with others. Held at Calvin Seminary, Saturday March 23, 9 AM to noon. 40 Days Of Life is an opportunity to stand outside on the sidewalk at the Grand Rapids abortion clinic and pray for an hour at 320 E Fulton. This is a peaceful public witness for life and against abortion. Dates are March 6-April 14. If you choose to go and need a ride, meet at church Thursdays (3/21, 3/28, 4/4, or 4/11) at 12:45 PM.
